Olam Haba Community Quilt

Olam Haba can be interpreted as the “world we want.” The original organizers are young adults influenced by Jewish Voice for Peace.

There are 36 blocks that were contributed and close to 50 people participated in the embroidery, quilting and lettering of the quilt. The words around the edges give a poetic message. “Stitched in solidarity, interconnected with God, another world is possible, never again for anyone.”

Entered in the state fair as a Group Quilt, it won a pink ribbon. The statement for the fair was: Interconnected threads of collective liberation. Made by queer, anti-Zionist Jews and friends.
